The techniques can be applied to many other jewelry designs. Also includes how to set the stone and how to make a setting tool.

    Materials:

    • Cabochon stone of your choice.
    •  Sample = 10mm x 14mm x 3.8mm triplet opal
    • Sterling silver 0.5mm thick sheet for stone base = over 12mm x 16mm
    • Sterling silver 0.7mm x 3.8mm (over) 40mm for setting wall
    • Sterling silver half round wire 2.6mm wide x 2mm thick x (over) 60mm for ring and shoulder collars
