Average Registered User Rating: 4.00 (out of 5) Number of review: 5 Reviews Subject: Vcella kiln controller Comment: The Vcella kiln is great when using it for single temp applications (Enameling). If you are wanting to use it for more applications like glass or clay I would go with a different kiln only because of the controller. It is VERY hard to program and the digits are very small compared to other controllers, just not worth the 600 dollars. I have two other kilns (Evenheat and a Paragon) the controllers are great and the kilns are great. I dread programming the Vcella. Rating: Subject: I love my Vcella Kiln Comment: The single word that I would use to decribe this kiln is quality. The first time I ever saw one was in another jewelers studio. She was using hers for enameling. Her model was the very smallest available. I was amazed at the thickness of the kiln walls , the heavy consruction and the engineering that went in to this product. The door hinge was so perfectly constructed you could open and close it with a single hand. When it was time for me to make a purchase. I went on line to get information on the model sizes. I chose the next size up. The staff was so helpful over the phone. I added a contoller later on that I installed my self, again I had great telehone support. For some wierd reason my heating elements stoped working, I called to ask for help. New elements were sent right out to me free of charge and step by step instruction were given to me over the phone. I and so proud that I did all this work by myself. Each time that I needed help on the kiln the company offered to do the work however I chose not to ship it back to them. Even though I had a small problem I was treated so well that I highly recomend this company and there products. Rating: Subject: Vcella kilns Comment: I have had my Vcella Kiln for over 30 years, and I give it a lot of use-- I got it used and it had quite a bit of use from its original owner, and it is still operating perfectly. I use it for enameling, and the correct temperature is critical for the work that I do. It is so well insulated that after firing for hours on end, the outside is still fairly cool to the touch. The door is hung so perfectly, that after all these years it still operates smoothly. It holds the heat so well, that it barely drops a few degrees when I am loading it, and it recoups almost instantly. I highly recommend this kiln. I give it five stars. Rating: Subject: Vcella Kiln Comment: I wouldn't mind putting a plug in for a Vcella Kiln. I have had mine for many years without any problem other than replacing the thermocouple. To do this I had to be talked through it by somebody from Vcella. They sent the part quickly and spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone with me patiently guiding me through replacing the part. When there was a problem with the initial delivery of the kiln out of Chicago they stayed on top of it, to the point of refunding me the shipping cost (considerable!) when the trucking company which they had little control over delayed my shipment by a week. Rating: Subject: Vcella is first class Comment: The Vcella kilns I have worked with have been excellent quality construction. They will build custom kilns to meet your requirements.
