    There is not a single method of capturing an image that yields true
    color, not digital, not film, not tube type video cameras. So there
    has always been manipulation of the image with filters, dodging and
    burning, masking, color correction.... So while there are people that
    use these correction methods to create false impressions and fake out
    the viewer, the vast majority of folks just try to tweak the image to
    match their perception of reality.
