Metal Corrugation – Tool Modification of Industrial Tube Wringer
Copyright Trish McAleer @ 2002

Following the 2002 SNAG conference Barbara Minor forwarded this tool modification made by Chris Hentz of Chris's Cables – which is a hand saving alteration that you might also want to consider.

Chris center the handles of the Industrial Tube Wringer #401 then slipped in a bolt and secured the end with a wing nut. This enables tightening of the tool handle for increased pressure. To fabricate a larger handle, two holes were center drilled into each side of the tool turn lever. U shaped steel was cut to length desired to create a longer handle. The u shape steel wall is cut away and filed to accommodate the tool spindle of the lever. Two corresponding holes were drilled to match and align with those on those drilled on the tool handle. Corresponding holes are drilled in the opposite end of the u-shaped steel and a turn knob is fashioned using a nut, bolt and plastic knob.
