Can I ask a newbie question? You soldered the ring
into a ring shape- and then cut it and made the cat's
eye shape? Why did you solder it and then cut it? I
feel like I'm not seeing something. (posting this part
way through- sorry if it's a silly question).

Wow, `hammered very carefully
the rised margins
onto the stone `, that´s what I was thinking, but you
have done such a perfect job I almost couldn´t believe
that was the method! Great. But I´m in for a video,
sometime. Thanks skilman.

To akkasilver
The process is too long and I have
to choose between fabrication and setting..Imagine a
wax negative of the stone ends...This form I've had to
cut in the ring bars , then I hammered very carefully
the rised margins onto the stone , untill it was wel
fixed ..then , with a file, finishing the area evenly
and polish ..But it should be seen, you are right..may
be in a future video...soon...
