Subject: Great Bali silver, and happy workers, too!
Comment: Check out Rishashay, if only because they are Fair Trade certified and will send you pictures of their happy workers (you never know about some "Bali silver"--does it actually come from a sweatshop and/or another country?). I have an older computer, so I don't like the time it takes to download their catalog and I never order online. Instead, I have them send me a print catalog, which has items shown pretty much true to size. I order over the phone and have been very happy with their customer service. I particularly appreciate that they will send samples of many items, which means you don't have to commit to a full bag of e.g. bead caps and then be disappointed. I highly recommend that you try this--most of their stuff is fabulous, but I have been happier since I started to get samples. They do require a minimum order, and a lot of items come bagged, but larger beads are sold singly. I once received some bead caps that looked cast, and they offered to replace them, but said they weren't (I could have been wrong). The only other problem I have had is matching bead caps to bead size--I'm not good at this and their advice wasn't very helpful. But, all in all, this is beautiful, well-made, elegant work and worth every extra penny.
