My first contact with the Repoussé technique gave me an idea of the richness of art metal, reveling on me sensitiveness for visual arts.

Nowadays my own interpretation and creativeness depend particularly on the antique art metal techniques known as Chasing and Repoussé which require skills to imagine, create and draw a concept and then the correct use of tools. These techniques of art metal have sharpened my vision helping to better define depth in my printed images.

Each artwork is completely hand made which makes them unique. Their superficies are treated with different types of patinas that produce oxidation in the piece and finally is polished to highlight the design.

My artwork is based on themes and details of both Catholic and Jewish religions. The combination of religious motives, lines, circles and different forms are point of inspiration for working with metal. The pieces in Galleries 1 and 2 are miniatures made in 1999. In the near future there will be photos or newly artwork made in 2001. There will be around 20 pieces. The backgrounds, marcs and corners show geometrical and natural figures

Each artwork is made in tin, using tools to create the decorative lines of the metal. Textures created for these techniques are first traced over the metal and then every detail is refined. Also I do miniature icons trying to capture exquisite designs focusing on details no matter how long it will take to finish a single piece.
