FYI in the good ol' days an old professor of mine from Belgium
used to walk around flea markets and garage sales with his father
(also a platinumsmith) and buy pots and pans made out of
platinum, for practically nothing.
He also told me the reason dentists use platinum in creating
fake gold teeth was because it has the same expansion coeficient
as bone.
