Hi Albert that sounds like a good idea for making the pattern. To
sprue something like this I run 4 x 2mm round sprues joined at
one end and the other ends flattened and arranged around the side
of the band equally so I am casting the ring sideways this works
really well and you only have to clean off one side. All the best
