Gemstone setting on lost-wax casting

Hi. My shop is looking to speed-up the production process by setting
stones on wax before casting. We would like to know if there is
literature or articles that could help us learn about this process to
do it just right.

We are also open to the possibility of hiring someone to do a
Consultancy on the subjetc, and comming down to Ecuador for that
matter.

tks!

Hi Daniela,

My shop is looking to speed up production by setting stones on wax
beforecasting.

Check the following website Home - SRS
click on technical center then click on stone in place casting. You
will find a great deal of helpful and how to do it. Be
sure to peruse the late Dr. Hubert Schusterspaper on wax set
casting, it is excellent. SRS Investment has compiled a number of
articles and papers on wax set casting and you will find the
both helpful and informative on their website.

Good luck & Best regards,

Daniela- The only stones you can successfully cast in place in a wax
model are diamonds and synthetic corundum. Just get some cheap
synthetics and try some experiments yourself. As much as I would love
to travel to Ecuador there is no need to hire a consultant.

Have fun and make lots of jewelry.

I see on the SRS website that Rio Grande is the exclusive
distributor of the Clickset products, but I don’t see them on their
website. Does anyone know if they carry them?
