    Rick. I know just what you mean. I am constantly amazed at the new
    names for well known things that the people use when hawking their
    items on TV.

    It really confuses the public. A lady approached me at a show, and
    inquired about a gold bracelet I had. I told her it was 14K. She then
    asked if I had anything that was" genuine Technibond Gold" as she
    preferred technibond gold which she understood, "is a much higher
    quality than ordinary 14 K. gold." I asked her where she got that
    information, and she said from the TV program where they featured
    the necklace she had purchased from them. 

    I considered explaining that Technibond meant that a layer of gold
    had been bonded to a base metal, but decided against it. 

    It is really amazing that those people on TV can get away with such
    deception.
