I totally agree. It's surprising that the FTC hasn't cracked down on
the mall chain stores for false advertising when you see VS clarity
diamonds setin the jewelery used for the TV ads, but I1-I2 JKL in
the stores. Once they run the ads, customers start coming looking for
1/2 carat studs for $199 that look good. (or even acceptable..)
Online is worse, the pictures are photoshopped to make the jewelery
look good (cartoon-ish?) It seems to be too much hassle for people to
send this stuff back.. so they end up keeping it. The good news is
that the internet jewelry wave has to slow down, how many times can
people get the short end of the stick before they don't buy online
anymore?
