Hi all,

I support Photoshop and similar methods for jewelry. After all we
need to have some working room to make a two dimensional image look
as good as we can get it as compared to the real item. Obviously
deliberate misrepresentation is awful and illegal, like removing the
yellow tint from a diamond. Good honest judgment is how we draw the
line between making up the dimensional difference from real to
printed and not fooling anyone about the item.

Plus let's separate marketing images from catalog or certificate
images. I recently shot a diamond for a poster. I was able to
ethically alter the stone a great deal, after all it was for an eye
catching poster, not representing (in a sales sense) the stone at
    all.
