[Jewelry making - Article 00037] - [Orchid] Silver paint on patinas

    I am attempting to patinate some fine silver (1/8") strips. Any
    suggestions, other than liver of sulphur, that I can use for this
    purpose?. Would love to incorporate colors such as purples, green,
    yellow, blue, into some of my designs. Can't use any chemicals
    inasmuch as I can't tolerate the fumes. Anyone know of any "paint
    on" patinations that will not work harden the structure of the
    strips. If there are such products out there, does one do anything
    else to make the color permanent?
