Hi All

Has anyone ever tried to make the hinge described by Tim McCreight on
his "Unusual Hinges" page (page 148 in my book). It's the one with
the bracket inside the box. I was thinking this would be ideal for a
box I want to make so that the sides are perfectly smooth all round.
Doing some experiments with in in cardboard I find it doesn't work
as expected. The back of the lid makes contact with the back of the
bottom part no matter how I position it and does not "lift up and
away" as suggested. I suspect that it may need to be hinged on the
elbow. Has anyone any ideas on this.

Would very much appreciated your help.

Regards, Renate
