Hi Marly,

Sorry to hear about your vision problems.

I've got the typical over 40 problem, the need for magnification for
many things. As a result I need to wear glasses, in my case
    trifocals.

I've found the Opticaid clip on magnifiers sold by Stuller (probably
others as well) the easiest to use. The clips that hold them on your
glasses are made of stainless steel wire, the lens is made of poly
carbonate & the piece that connects the lens to the stainless is
made of clear poly carbonate. Because everything is clear it doesn't
cast any shadows or in any other way distract you. The whole thing
weighs just a little over 1/2 oz.

Because the mounting clips are made from stainless steel wire they
can be formed to accommodate most any pair of glasses

In the current Stuller tool catalog (Vol 56), they are listed on
    page 323, item # 29-7700 thru 29-7705. They're listed at $21.95.

Usual disclaimers, just a satisfied customer.

Dave
