    That's what I was referring to as "used car lot" negotiation manners.
    You were smart not to negotiate. You don't need his type as a
    customer. Let him go haggle with the pawn shop. They are a harder nut
    to crack so he has his work cut out for him. 

    When someone asks me, "How firm are you on your price?" or "Can you
    do a little better on the price?" then that is the type of haggler I
    will deal with. If it's new piece this year than maybe I'll go 10%.
    If it's last year's or older then 20% to 25%. If it's a dog that I
    was thinking of scrapping then as much as 40-50% or make me an offer.
