    "haggling in odd places" (just changing the sentence!!!) 

    I had my yard power raked, aerated, and the flower beds cleaned up
    on Saturday. As I paid the guy his fair price when he left, he said
    he would trim my two big flowering apple trees for $400. I gasped and
    was really taken back, he then said both for $300. See, it works, and
    I did this after I read all the "Hagglers at your Jewelry Booth" here
    on Orchid!!!!! 

    Rose Marie in Denver - had snow yesterday morning and more expected
    today. You know we have strange seasons here - three months of
    summer, three months of fall, six months of winter, and no spring at
    all! And in some cases - winter and the 4th of July! Daffodils and
    primroses in bloom.
