    I do not have an Otto Frei rolling mill, but I do have the Karat
    rolling mill. Mine has a small flat area in the middle about an inch
    and a half wide and graduated squre groves on each other side of the
    flat. It works great for adjustments and on almost everything that I
    do for repair work. The only draw back is the rollers will only
    accept an ingot no wider than 4mm as I recall. My ingot mold made
    ingots about 5mm wide,so I couldn't get them threw the mill. What I
    did was sand down one side of my mold evenly and after that I was
    able to make my ingots fit threw the mill. 

    I don't have the flat mill with the intercahangable pattern rolls,so
    I called the man at Karat and he said that the rollers by themselves
    were not for sale at that time. 

    I would like to have a wide flat roll for sheet but I guess for now
    I'll have to go without that option. Other than that I'm a very
    satisfied customer and would recommend the Karat mill.
