Hello all

    At the risk of upsetting some people, If a diamond setter needs to
    put his pieces in the ultrasonic for half an hour to determine if any
    stones might fall out maybe he should get a stronger optivisor. And
    anyway leaving jewellery in the ultrasonic for that length of time is
    going to do damage to a nice piece. A new ultrasonic can have quite a
    violent action and can cavitate most precious metals especially
    platinum causing a fine frosting on the surface. Jewellery should
    never be in a sonic for any longer than is necessary to clean it.
