Hello

    I am a current artist in residence in a small town in Iowa. Each
    residency is different. In Omaha they give you a monthly stipend,
    here I have studio time in exchange for managing the gallery a few
    days a week and minimal rent for the apartment upstairs, others
    charge you more, it depends on where you look. I think also that the
    reasons for doing a residency position are different. I wanted to
    establish my jewelry full time and needed a place to concentrate on
    it where I didn't have to take on a part time or full time job to
    support myself. For others they might do a one month residency as a
    working vacation. What are you looking for exactly? And do you know
    where you want to go?
