    You have a valid point, as I've learned from taking the GIA course.
    Disclosure is vitally important. And, if people are educated to know
    the difference between metal clay and fabricated pieces, I think
    disclosure is very appropriate. But we must be educated in our own
    products, as the information in this very long thread has revealed,
    and that is something we need to focus on. 

    By the way, I totally disagree that broken metal clay pieces can't
    be repaired. Aside from soldering, which is possible, there are metal
    clay products out there specifically formulated for repair, that
    result in fine silver joins, not soldered.
