    1) best wishes to all who like metal clay and all that matters is
    that you enjoy the medium that gives you such pleasure 

    2) accept that some people feel it has limitations - as does ANY
    medium 

    3) realize that the quality of your work will stand on its own merit
    irrespective of how you make it and stop looking for any other
    artists to validate your choices (or getting mad when they don't) 

    4) there are physical characteristics that separate it from standard
    metals/fabrication techniques (and subsequently repairs) so, perhaps
    stamping an item "MC .999" or something equally suitable wouldn't be
    such a bad idea? 

    Kudos to Hanuman for monitoring this thread so closely and saving
    some of us from ourselves... or more specifically, me.
