    After years of experience contract manufacturing jewelry for
    designers around the country, I have a couple of real world
    observations to make concerning PMC. We received PMC pieces from
    time to time to be used as masters for mold making, with traditional
    lost wax casting and finishing of production pieces to follow. 

    James Binnion is absolutely correct, disregarding the "theoretical"
    density of PMC. PMC masters we received from clients always weighed
    significantly less than the final sterling production pieces. 

    PMC works as well as any other metal from a mold making standpoint.
    The creation of a successful model is dependent on the model maker
    not the material.
