Well said Kerry!!! I have worked with PMC...and silver and gold and
plastic, resin, concrete, and chiffon. My point??? The craftmanship
of the final product is what we all are striving for... isn't it!!!
A good craftsman will "know" what material to use!!!!!! If metal
clay is not the right product, a different product should be used.
As mentioned by another Orchidian, Gordon, Cece, and Celie are all
excellent PMC artists that know their medium well!!! I was surprised
and saddened to hear of Nanz's dismissal from Art Jewelry. I did not
think her comments were rude or offensive in any way, shape or form.
Perhaps I was a little surprised of her opinion, however I do not
think it warrants TERMINATION!!!!!!! I am glad she said what she
did. It did get the board to talk about the pro's and con's of PMC.
I think the "talking" is a good thing. Get all this out in the
open...opinions and all, so we can all move forward!!! Who knows
maybe a few metalsmiths will actually try working with PMC. I can
tell you one thing... it does take me longer to finish and polish
PMC than it does Argentium silver...and there is a skill to it. Not
as easy as it looks folks...try it!!!! I did hammer a synclastic
cuff using PMC3 last year and it turned out wonderful....don't you
    think???

Lose the "tudes"...time will tell if PMC will hold. Until then,
    practice your craft well!!!

Regards,
Aimee Domash:-)
