I've not added anything to the precious metal clay (PMC) discussion
because others have said it better than I. I will never use PMC (of
any brand) because, if you like larger pieces of jewelry, it is way
way way too expensive. In addition, I am not impressed, so far, with
most of what I've seen made with PMC -- most pieces would (in my
opinion) have looked better made with traditional metalsmithing
    materials and skills.

However, I suspect it may be like polymer clay -- over time,
fascinating artistry in polymer clay has appeared, miles better than
the little gnomes and fairies (sorry if you're fond of those gnomes
    and fairies!).

But I really am disappointed to hear that Nanz Aalund is no longer
with Art Jewelry. I have been thinking whether I want to continue my
subscription, since, despite sincere efforts by the editors, little
of its contents are what I'm interested in. Getting rid of Nanz
because she expressed her honest opinions does not endear the
magazine to me. Even if Nanz put her affiliation with Art Jewelry
underneath her name, I certainly did not think that her opinion was
the only one held at the magazine. There is less and less honesty in
public fora, and Art Jewelry shouldn't add to that frightening
    condition.
