    My reaction....how very similar this is to our current culture in
    Washington DC. Don't like the message, shoot the messenger, control
    all speech-dissent is not allowed!!!! Hazel should be thanking Nanz
    for raising the issue. Ultimately discussing the pros & cons of pmc
    can lead to more awareness of it's potential, its strengths &
    weaknesses. It would help new comers understand the media better, its
    limitations, how underfiring can lead to problems, the reactions of
    traditional metalsmiths to this new product, where it can perform
    well, what is needed to make it work correctly and look good, how not
    to kill its potential by flooding the market with poorly made pieces
    that fall apart etc. Now that opportunity is lost. 

    Art Jewelry could be the leader in all of this. But nope, they chose
    to fire Nanz instead. I am hoping that somewhere out there Nanz is
    counting herself lucky to be on to a new life, one with less knee-
    jerk reactions. If I had a subscription to Art Jewelry it would be
    cancelled immediately. But I don't as when it came out as "art
    jewelry" I saw it as a pmc advertisement in magazine format, that I
    was to pay for. This firing confirms my first thoughts. Firing Nanz
    will do far more harm to the magazine then a healthy and heated
    debate about pmc. A debate that is frankly, long overdue. One
    wonders what Art Magazine is so concerned about-that it must so
    thoroughly squash a dissenting voicei
