I have to jump into from a political standpoint, not just the
    materials end.

There is no such thing a "right to free speech" in the
non-governmental arena. The right to free speech is neither more nor
less than the ban on the use of force from the *government* (i.e.
laws, police, courts) to prevent a thing from being said (or created
or sung or written or painted or whatever) in and of itself. The
right of free speech does not require anyone to provide an audience
or even a soapbox to speak from. >From a business point of view, Art
Jewelry did what they thought best for their own business reasons, as
they have a perfect right to do. You have the equal right to base
your private actions on your personal beliefs in response.

If Nanz had not used or referred to her affiliation with Art Jewelry
magazine it probably would have been different.

On the metal clay end, I use many types of media and they each have
their own strengths and weaknesses. From an engineering background
with study in materials science there is no way that a sintered
product can, as a matter of course, be as dense as a cast product. I
suppose, a very well worked piece, in a given range of sizes / shapes
/ methods, a sintered product could be nearly as dense as a poorly
    cast molten metal product.
