I have to make a comment about melting PMC....I have had items I
didn't like so....I planned to do a cuttlebone casting. Fine silver
takes a tremendous amount of heat to melt, and being that PMC is
fine silver, it took a long time with the very large tip to become
liquid...but IT DID MELT AND BECOME LIQUID. It melted in drips and
of course didn't create the cuttlebone casting, but I did have a
strange "ingot" when it solidified. I ran that through the rolling
mill. Good experiment....I will use the rolled out material in some
other fashion by including it on sterling or copper or brass items,
with rivets as I do with the regularly fired PMC. Just gotta be bold
You must look beyond the box!!
