Laurie,

Well put. I too sell my work at festivals and tag and mark every
piece. I even went to larger tags so that I could write the type of
stone in the piece. That way when I'm taking a break the person
watching my booth doesn't get asked questions they can't answer. That
and I couldn't manipulate the tiny jewelry tags with my big fingers.

There is a definite difference in customer interaction in a jewelry
store compared to a festival. I can see both sides of the argument
but am from the old school that says, "If you have to ask you can't
afford it." I would rather see the price before bothering a sales
person. It suits my personality to know the price of something and
determine if I want to buy it through my own thought process rather
than having someone *sell* me something. But that's just me. I'm a
    bit of an introvert.

BTW I know Richard from Denver. Readily share's his extensive bench
experience. He is a super guy but loves to stir the pot.
