    I never heard that one! I made my wedding dress, and the bridesmaid
    and flower girl's dresses too. I was working for a fabric store at
    the time, and the store paid for all the materials. All I had to do
    was finish them early and hang them in the store until the ceremony. 

    I didn't make my wedding band, but I did make the ring I wear with
    it, setting the large diamond I inherited from my mother. 

    We've been married a blissful 25 years, so the superstition didn't
    work on me.
