[Jewelry making - Article 00105] - [Orchid] How to make your own wax carving tools?

Hi,

    I am relatively new to wax carving, and would like to make a few
    additional tools. In other posts several people mentioned setting
    bits of steel in a wood dowel, how would I do this? Also, my
    favorite tool is the inside curve of a large j shaped hook. How do I
    sharpen a curved part? What shapes do people find most useful? Any
    other suggestions?
