Amery:

    Electrocleaner is usually sodium hydroxide solution, otherwise known
    as lye soap. It is pretty caustic and can cause really nasty burns,
    and is even quite dangerous when in dry or solid form. Always wear
    protective glasses when working with it, and also neoprene rubber
    gloves. Wash everything thoroughly with copious amounts of water when
    done.
