[Jewelry making - Article 00387] - Re: [Orchid] Jeweler's former lives

    I took no art classes in high school, having been placed in the "math
    and science" rather incorrectly I would say. Went to college
    initially as a biology major, and might have gone into medicine if
    it weren't for the fact that it was a struggle. Sequed into Interior
    Design which was much more satisfying and did that for 20 years,
    starting jewelry classes at the Brookline Craft Center. Continuing
    through San Diego Community College classes with Deb Jemmott I
    learned the basics, and also that I had been bitten by the bug.
    Found myself designing jewelry while driving, the last thought before
    going to sleep, and even in my dreams. For the past ten years I have
    shared a studio/retail space in Spanish Village Art Center in Balboa
    Park where I remain, just happy as a clam. I take several workshops
    every year.
