Since you're tabulating....I was active duty in the United States
Air Force from 1986-1990. I was trained as a Russian Linguist and
worked in Augsburg, West Germany (in Bavaria).

I separated in July 1990 to Tallahassee, Florida to attend Florida
State University. Accounting was my major and I continued to study
the Russian language, history, and culture. The Wall had come down,
however, and I didn't think I would have an easy time finding a job
(new influx of native Russian speakers due to immigration).

I transferred to Southern CT State University and finished my degree
in Accounting. From there, I worked in public accounting for a small
firm, corporate accounting for Warnaco (the underwear people), and
again corporate accounting (for Blue Cross Blue Shield.

When my older son was born (and then my younger followed 15 months
    later) I became a stay-at-home-Mom. I did share ownership in a bead
store in town, but that didn't work out well.

I am currently learning, planning to open my own working
studio/gallery in town, and selling whatever I make

Good Luck
