I started jewelry in a high school class at 17. apprenticed for 6
months. Went to collage, didn't want to! Parents said you go now or
we won't pay for it (right out of highschool, I wanted to wait 1
year). So I went to a community college. Thinking "not too expensive"
Could have gone to Drake University in Des Moines IA, Good School
with good Metal Arts, very expensive! Already knew this was my bliss,
but didn't think I would make the long haul, I wanted to play! So I
played at collage. Majored in printmaking. Flunked out of collage
after 3 years. Only because I would only go to the classes I liked IE
ART! Half my grades were A's the other half F's.

So I left college found a job in a jewelry store working in gift
wrap and shippng. With the intention of eventually working into the
repair shop. I got there fairly quickly. I have worked in jewelry in
    Iowa, Atlanta, Phoenix and Oregon.

Along the way I have also worked as a Waitress, bartender, cook,
plate burner in a print shop, greeting card shipper and assistant,
telephone survey taker, wife (3 times) mother (once, 2 times, I have
twins). Helped my build our log home, cut trees, peeled logs, did
plumbing, electric, sheet rock, whatever needed done. These skills
all came in handy, after I left him and the log nightmare, I became
the proud owner of a Habitat House, and I worked on it too! And
finally I am working two part time jobs, both making jewelry, and
making my own out of my home.Next job... getting enough inventory to
    set up a website.
