Hi Doc,

    I don't think its fair that you blame the 'little people' - I suspect
    that, like me, you have a workshop which is sited at the confluence
    of two or more leylines which attract wormholes. There are certain
    areas of my workshop, right beneath my chairs, where, if I drop
    something, a temporary wormhole opens up into another dimension and
    the dropped item disappears completely. You will never find it as it
    has ceased to exist in our time and space but, if you wait patiently
    until after the next electrical storm and then glance down casually
    at the point where the lost item landed, you will more than likely
    find that it has reappeared exactly where you dropped it. I often
    think that the other dimension into which these objects disappear
    must be a fascinating place absolutely cram-packed with interesting
    objects.... <G>
