========[ Invite a Friend - http://www.ganoksin.com/invite.htm ]======== Shop trolls, gremlins, pixies,or brownies all relish stealing our time. I've found the best way to deal with them is look a while then give up. Truly give up and they will get bored and return your item. Probably in the least expected place. I've found the more time I spend looking for something, the longer they hold the object. If it's easily replaced I do that after a short search, 10 minutes max. Harder to replace, a 1 carat stone, I'll look a little longer. But will try to take my mind off it, so it will show up. Here's an example from my past. I was gluing up pearls on post earrings. Matched pink pearls, cost ten dollars for the pair. One dissapeared. Of course my employer had to find it, so we searched 2 whole days!!! Moved everything, vacumed with panty hose over the nozzle, if it involves search and rescue we did it. Finally gave up and moved on. Those pixies thought we put so much energy into our search they decide to hold on to that prescious pearl (must have been worth a lot, look how much time they spent looking for it!) We did eventually find said pearl. 2 years and 3 studios later. Stuck in the handle of the bench brush we used to look for the pest. So my theory: The more valuable something appears to be to these buggers, ie; time spent searching, the longer they will hold onto it. I liked the idea of the rubber mat under the bench... might cover the black hole they have set up down there.
