    Only very indirectly. A talented young woman who took jewelry
    classes from me went off to school there. When she came back, she had
    become a product designer (which can pay quite well, and has, I'm
    pretty sure, no sexist bias) and doesn't have time to make jewelry
    anymore. She misses getting her hands on metal, but she's earning a
    living in an arguably creative field...
