Brian,

    I'm in the states...if that makes any differance. The sizes I use
    are: 

    00-90, 0-80, 1-72, 2-56 

    The first number is the "size", second number is threads per inch.
    The O.D. of a 2-56 is about 2.12mm and 00-90 is 1.15mm. So your
    1.4mm is right in the range.
