    Thanks to all of you for your advice! This is why I love Orchid. I
    also use G-S hypo cement. I thought that I needed to also glue the
    clamshells closed as well. I will just use less glue, wait for the
    glue to dry and then close the clamshells. 

    A few more questions: Are any of you worried about the necklace
    unraveling. It is a bit scary to me that two or four knots are what
    is holding a necklace together. Also do you cut right up to the knot
    or leave a little bit of space? I find that the extra cord tends to
    stick out just a teensy, weensy bit out of the clamshells.
