MJSA Annual Meeting

Greetings,

I just wanted to let everyone know that MJSA’s 97th Annual Meeting
will take place at the Providence Biltmore Hotel in Providence, RI, on
October 19 (this Thursday). There is still time to register to
attend.

The Annual Meeting will feature a cocktail reception and dinner where
MJSA will vote on two key by-law amendments and elect new board
directors and officers. The meeting also includes our Resource Caf? where attendees find services and resources to help streamline their
business.

Preceding the 97th Annual Meeting, MJSA will host a FREE e-commerce
education program where Steven Kravit, CEO of jnet.com, unveils the
jewelry industry’s most dynamic Web site located at www.jnet.com.
Jnet.com is a joint venture between the jewelry industry’s largest
trade associations, Manufacturing Jewelers and Suppliers of America
(MJSA) and Jewelers of America. MJSA members and non-members may
attend this program for FREE.

And here’s how to get theRe:

Three years ago, I joined MJSA. First it was because of the
excellent benefits they offer, such as discounts on FedEx shipping
and Staples supplies. A little later, they became the publisher for
my book, “Making the Most of Your Flex-Shaft.” After the book was
published, I became a regular speaker at MJSA seminars, and then this
year I exhibited at the MJSA Trade Show for Jewelry Making.

What I discovered was that MJSA is more than just excellent
discounts, more than books and seminars and trade shows. MJSA is a
whole team of professionals who are willing to answer questions about
how to generate ideas and manage my business. And through MJSA
events, I’ve been able to meet really nice people like Torry Hoover
from Hoover and Strong. At this year’s Annual Meeting, I look forward
to seeing Alan Bell of Rio Grande, who will be MJSA’s new chairman.

The best perk is that the MJSA staff is right in my backyard. If you
have been thinking about joining MJSA, this would be a good time to
come to their Annual Meeting. Have a nice dinner, talk to some really
nice people and have the opportunity to ask U.S. Senator Jack Reed
(the keynote speaker) on his thoughts about everything from politics
to the arts. Many of the attendees are production manufacturers who
can help you with shortcuts. They want to meet and help you. If you
at all care about the jewelry industry, this is the place to be.

I look forward to this event every year!

The cost for the Annual Meeting is $85. To attend, call Katherine
Eayrs, MJSA events coordinator, at 1-800-444-6572, ext. 3040,
