========[ Invite a Friend - http://www.ganoksin.com/invite.htm ]======== You can successfully cast diamonds, rubies and sapphires that haven't been treated for color enhancement. CZ's cast well too. Rio Grande catalog states which synthetics work well being cast in place. I wouldn't cast anything that I wouldn't touch a torch to. Adding a pinch of borax to the investment and allowing to cool at least 15 minutes before quenching has produced some successful castings. A little research into the characteristics of a particular stone will steer you in the right direction. Good luck & happy experimenting.
