    Kay....it is easiest to put the spring on the outside. Having said
    that, if you cannot come up with the size of spring for the job, you
    can put the spring inside and bend also. Usually its a bit harder to
    get the two separated. Another alternative is to wrap the outside
    with soft binding wire and bend.
