    Donna, would you mind elaborating a little on your response. Was
    Permalac one of the lacquers you tried in your experiment and if so,
    did you use the liquid or the spray and what were your results? I am
    not sure I am reading your results correctly - - did you get color
    change with the clearcoat or Nickolas products and are they sprays or
    brush on liquid? I am also curious what other products you found that
    failed and did any of your experiments include LOS patinas where no
    salt or amonia was added?. I thank both you and Katherine for your
    reponses and help. Either of you are welcome to contact me offlist if
