Hello all

    Thanks for the advice on staining pewter. 

    The nitric acid done the job for me and it looks just like what I
    had in mind. 

    I did try the liver of sulfur to but that didn't do anything. There
    was another advice but I never tried that one the nitric acid had
    worked already.

    I did have a bit of a problem finding out what nitric acid was. I
    thought it was the pickle that I use for cleaning up the silver
    after soldering but...no.... I was so wrong. It was a mistake to try
    that one. It started frothing and smelling of bad eggs so I quickly
    washed it of. 

    If I knew only more about chemicals, if English was my mother
    tongue, I would have far less problems understanding everything. LOL
    learning every day.
