[Jewelry making - Article 00046] - [Orchid] Fusing Fine Silver Bezel

Hi Everyone,

    I've been trying to fuse the seam of fine silver bezel wire with my
    mini butane torch for later inclusion on a fired metal clay piece.
    Very small bezels - 3/4 inch or smaller work very well, but anything
    larger simply will not fuse with that amount of fire power. Can fine
    silver bezel be fused in a kiln or with the butane torch as an assist
    on the Speedfire Cone System (a modified camp stove kiln alternate)?
    How about torch assisted on the Ultralite Kiln? Would the construction
    stand up to the added flame? (I don't own one) 

    Any other ideas for fusing fine silver Bezel wire closed? I'm self
    taught and have searched the archives, but can't find an answer.
