========[ Invite a Friend - http://www.ganoksin.com/invite.htm ]======== Hello, my name is Graeme Park and I read Ganoksin a lot but I don't write all that much. I thought that I would just send you my new website address to appall/enthrall you, its www.craeven.eu. I'm self taught, living in a foreign country with wife and 2 kids to support. It's taken me about 5 years of scrimping and saving money, stealing time whenever I can etc etc to get this far. Everything I do is ultimately supposed to be mass produced so I concentrate on lost wax casting and now have everything I need to get up to the casting stage, at this point I let a casting shop do that. I always await eagerly getting my castings back, it is so exciting to have them. They do such a fantastic job for a good price. I'm also in love with my tools that enable me to make anything I want to now, in particular my milling machine, that I can rotate and mill at different angles to the table. Also I like my latest acquisition - a very basic (manual pump) wax injector. Now I don't have to resort to all sorts of tricks to compensate for the fact that I was filling my molds with wax via gravity alone. Bliss. I like very much medieval designs and I do quite close copies of things that I like or else I do pieces "inspired by...". I'm always amazed at how craftsmen 500 years ago made such complicated pieces with such little technology at hand... I suppose they had more time! Now I have made a small collection that is relatively coherent as a whole and my next project is to build up my website and get it connected to the web properly etc etc and then make some more pieces. Also I'd like to do some pieces in gold!!! Yummy. I like Ganoksin for technical advice and also to see what other people are doing and for motivation etc and as soon as I can figure out how, I'm going to send some pictures to the gallery and make it a link to my new website. Thanks, Graeme. ____________________________________________________________________ T h e O r c h i d L i s t Open Electronic Forum for Jewelry Manufacturing Methods and Procedures ____________________________________________________________________ Orchid FAQ: ~ http://www.ganoksin.com/orchid/faq.htm Orchid Archives: ~ http://www.ganoksin.com/orchid/archive Orchid Galleries: ~ http://www.ganoksin.com/orchid/gallery.htm Invite a Friend: ~ http://www.ganoksin.com/invite.htm ____________________________________________________________________ Tips From The Jeweler's Bench - Article Archive ~ http://www.ganoksin.com/borisat/tip_sear.htm The Jeweler's Selected Bibliography List ~ http://www.ganoksin.com/jewelry-books Buy Orchid Jewelry: ~ http://www.ganoksin.com/shop ____________________________________________________________________ -Unsubscribe: -Email: orchid-request AT ganoksin.com Body=unsubscribe subject=blank ____________________________________________________________________ |
