    Presumably when heated to metal working temperatures right?  Becuase
    I have heard of jade which survived a deep-fat fryer.  A member of
    the most baffelling public had decided that deep-frying her
    bracellet was the way to tell if it was dyed, I can't recall what
    her conclusions were becuase I had fallen off my chair laughing.  No
    the consumer was not in earshot at the time.  Oh dear I've started
    again.
