Ciao - I know Firenze pretty well- My husband is Florentine and we
live there part time- I have attended a few schools there too... The
must visit school in my opinion is called Alchimia - it's

located on "the other side of the river" from the duomo---just a hop
skip and jump away from Santo Spirito and the Brancacci Chapel. they
have a web site to check out too- www.alchimia.it I took a workshop
with Giampalo Babbetto which was crucial to the work that I am doing
    now.

Also- Gatto Bianco is a metalsmithing gallery that is always fun to
visit- it's located close to the ponte vecchio, but a little hard to
find, so you might have to hunt a bit... if you are walking towards
the duomo just stepping off the ponte vecchio take your second left
( the street is a bit hidden..) and walk down about a block, Gatto
Bianco is going to be on your right side....By the way...a few doors
down is Mealli---the "riogrande" of Firenze...Loads of metals
tools...just remember to bring your dictionary if you don't speak
Italian! Of course via Tornabuoni also has Buccellati and other
"biggies"- so fun to see twinkly things!

Well- those are a few of my reccomendations- Sorry, I don't know
Milan. Please tell the guys at Mealli I said Ciao!

Buon Viaggio- Maureen Brusa Zappellini (Bzapdesigns.com)
